MY BODY IS MY HOME
“Our body is the place that our memories and dreams call home for the time being”. Deepak Chopra
A functional structure, a wisely designed building. Time keeps attacking it, like the fairytale big bad wolf which blows fiercely to bring it down.
Everything is temporary and in a constant state of change; our bodies as well as our surroundings. It is all about an endless process of transformation.
By using wood as my main material and exploring its limits, I intend to express the strong and the weak points of our nature. The moment that the material begins to disintegrate, it begins to manifest itself on the border area between existence and non-existence.
I am interested in this moment of tension, which leaves traces from the past and carries memories along.
